Are you a great organiser who likes a challenge and variety in their working day? Are you enthusiastic with great written and verbal skills? Would you like to work in a part-time capacity for a London-based children’s nursery group?
Bilingual Nurseries are a group of children’s nurseries providing very high-quality childcare in a nurturing bilingual environment. It is an honour to look after children, and we care deeply about our mission, our local community, parents and our staff members.
The role will be varied and will involve supporting business processes throughout the organisation. An immediate focus will be helping on the administrative side of our recruitment processes which involves:
- Placing, updating and managing recruitment ads
- Communication with recruitment agencies about vacancies
- Communication with the nurseries about recruitment needs
- Managing inbound applications from candidates
- Filtering applications based on qualifications, relevant experience, right to work and other factors
- Setting up first-round interviews
The recruitment workflow will require diligent organisation skills to manage a high number of candidates at different points of the recruitment cycle. It also requires immediate responsiveness to make sure we do not lose candidates in a competitive hiring market. Lastly, the role has half an hour of out-of-hours paid component as you may need to answer a text message or take a brief call from a candidate in an evening on occasion.
In time, the role can be expanded into other business processes and administrative tasks, including financial and billing processes, HR and payroll processes and more.
The skills and qualities we are looking for in the right candidate include:
- Independent thinker who is comfortable taking on small projects
- Proficient in the use of Office applications such as MS Word, MS Excel, MS Teams
- Good telephone manner
- Excellent organisation skills
- Confident in learning new software to support specific tasks
